IEG Help Desk contributes to the dissemination and utilization
of IEG 's evaluative information, tools, approaches and
findings generated by IEG and its partner agencies.
Provides
guidance in accessing and interpreting IEG 's evaluation
information
In consultation
with IEG staff, the Help Desk provides guidance to IEG partners,
Bank staff, country offices, government officials, bilateral
and other multilateral agencies, NGOs, and clients with
information on IEG methodology, data and evaluation results.
The Help Desk can:
- provide
you with relevant IEG evaluation methodologies, policies,
practices, activities, and findings--in your specific
area(s) of interest;
- identify
key readings, terms of reference, lessons learned, and
case studies on evaluation-related topics;
- guide
you on how to use relevant evaluation databases, research
tools, data and statistics;
- provide
orientation to staff and clients on IEG 's databases and
websites;
- provide
presentations, briefings, materials, and information packets
to management, Bank staff, and delegations (government
officials, other MDB staff, bilateral partners, etc.);
- provide
information on programs and schedules for IEG seminars,
workshops, and training events.
Supports
the dissemination of IEG 's evaluation information
The Help Desk actively disseminates web-based evaluation
information, supplies electronic links, and supports IEG
evaluation partnerships. The Help Desk can:
- direct
you to evaluation experts and organizations in your specific
area of interest or others working on similar evaluations;
- provide
contacts for IEG 's country, region, sector, thematic,
and global evaluations;
- offer
assistance with the interpretation of IEG 's Disclosure
Policy;
- disseminate
IEG 's evaluation results at conferences and events;
- help
to resolve problems with our websites.
As the
first point of contact to IEG and as an intermediary between
IEG and Bank staff, partners and clients, the IEG Help Desk
can help you find specific information on IEG 's products
and services (including Knowledge Management and Evaluation
Capacity Development).
