In order to ensure good quality debates, 500 participants were selected on the basis of their potential contribution to the themes featured and their potential follow-up in their countries. The group of participants invited reflect the diversity of countries in the region as well as the diversity of constituents. Participants included representatives from the region's civil society, think-tanks, universities, NGOs, journalists, government and private sector. Particular effort was made to attract private sector participants, good quality media, women and the youth. Participants also included well-targeted influential international experts. |
