Reason for Selection
This ICR is well-organized and presents extensive and compelling evidence of project achievements reporting on performance indicators specified at appraisal, such as the increase in the use of immovable property as collateral for loans and the decline in the real cost of borrowing. The ICR focuses clearly on the contributions of this project as distinguished from those made by other donors. The lessons go beyond the obvious and provide specific guidance to future property rights projects.
