| The Country Assistance Strategy (CAS) is a development framework for the World Bank's assistance in a client country. Its objective is to identify the key areas where Bank assistance can have the largest impact on poverty reduction.
The CAS is prepared with the government and other stakeholders in a participatory way to benefit a country's needs. Participation has helped improve the quality, effectiveness, and sustainability of projects, and has strengthened ownership and commitment of government and other stakeholders. The following Country Assistance Strategies seek feedback on the needs and priorities for each participating country. All interested parties can post their comments and participate in a dialogue with Bank experts and other organizations about issues of vital importance in achieving economic welfare for all citizens. |
