Physical learning environments (PLEs)—including classrooms, schools, and networks of facilities—play a critical role in shaping educational outcomes. Investments in school infrastructure can be optimized to maximize impact for every learner by strengthening climate and natural disaster resilience and supporting innovative approaches to learning. The World Bank’s RIGHT+ framework offers guidance to promote resilient, inclusive, green, healthy, and teaching- and learning-conducive (RIGHT) learning environments that are effectively implemented (+) at scale.
