Video: Dominica’s War on Climate Change

As this year’s first tropical storm Alberto made landfall in Florida on Monday ahead of the official start of the hurricane season, the National Oceanic Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) is forecasting an active season “near- or above-normal”. Now more than ever before, building climate resilience has become the rallying call for all Caribbean nations. In the eight months since Hurricane Maria struck the pristine island of Dominica, many organizations have come forward to support the reconstruction and Dominicans are committed to building back better and are now biding for becoming the World’s first climate resilient nation.
