In Haiti, a community mobilizes to stop cholera

At the Sainte Camille Centre near Port-au-Prince, Haiti, the whole community is involved in promoting good hygiene and preventing cholera. Community volunteers raise awareness of the risks and share prevention techniques, and the hospital sees patients free of charge. In Haiti, the number of cholera cases has been decreasing thanks to the efforts of the Haitian authorities and development partners including the World Bank. To date, the World Bank has provided cholera treatment and prevention to over 3 million people. Much progress has been made, yet the hardest stretch of this fight is not over. Watch how the community of Saint Camille is responding.
