In Nepal, Lalman Tamang Rebuilds His House and His Life

Lalman Tamang lost his wife and his house when the earthquake hit. He owes his life to the beams that sheltered him from the crumbling stones and now lives in a makeshift shelter made up of salvaged timber and rubble materials. As part of the government’s reconstruction program, Lalaman is eligible to receive 200,000 rupees to rebuild his house and his livelihood.
