Crisis in Central African Republic

Nearly one million people in the Central African Republic have fled their homes seeking refuge from violence that has overwhelmed the country and left more than 1,000 dead and nearly half the population hungry and in desperate need of health care. The World Bank Group is responding to the crisis with US$100 million to help restore key government services, provide food, health care and other vital supplies.
