Like many youths in the Solomon Islands, Fabian left his village for the capital Honiara in the hope to find a job and improve his family’s life. Unable to find a job, he resorted to petty crime to survive. The Rapid Employment Project gave Fabian and hundreds of youths like him training and paid work, helping him to start a small business.
