January 31, 2017

WASHINGTON, January 31, 2017— The World Bank Group this month announced the debarment of XL Management Services Limited for 15 months. The company submitted a false experience claim, supported by a false subcontract award letter, in its bid for a contract under the World Bank-financed Second Rural Access and Mobility Project in Nigeria.

The World Bank also debarred Tianjin Huashui Tap Water Construction Co., Ltd. and its affiliates for 15-months for submitting false documents and misrepresenting previous experience while bidding for a contract under the World Bank-financed Anhui Xuancheng Infrastructure for Industry Relocation Project in China.

The aforementioned sanctions are part of Negotiated Resolution Agreements and qualify for cross-debarment by other MDBs under the Agreement of Mutual Recognition of Debarments that was signed on April 9, 2010.
