WASHINGTON, August 29, 2019 - The World Bank’s Board of Executive Directors today approved the following project:
IDA Credit: US $21 million equivalent
IDA Grant: US $9.6 million equivalent

Project Description: The OECS Regional Health Project aims to improve the resilience of health facilities in Dominica, Grenada, Saint Lucia and Saint Vincent and the Grenadines to climate change. It will strengthen the capacity of health systems to ensure continuity of services following an extreme weather event. At the regional level, the OECS Regional Health Project will strengthen health security and mitigate cross-border transmission of disease outbreaks and disruptions in the aftermath of an extreme weather event and climate change impacts.
