The World Bank is co-organizing this event together with the European Commission and partners from the Ministry of Investment and Economic Development and Marshal Offices to present the results of our four successful projects in Lubelskie, Małopolskie, Podkarpackie, Śląskie and Świętokrzyskie.

  • On 21 June 2018, the city of Katowice will host the final conference of the Catching-up Regions Initiative 2.

The conference will focus on the following:

    • how  the thirteen municipalities from the Rzeszów Functional Urban Area work together to prepare a comprehensive and joint plan for land use.
    • what solutions Podkarpackie found to make its business-science cooperation so successful?
    • whether financing schemes in Małopolskie and Śląskie to tackle air pollution could be also a suitable model for your region.
    • by which means Lubelskie and Podkarpackie are modernizing business inspections to make their food sector safer and more competitive?
    • and why the Catching-up Regions Initiative is actually so effective and increasingly popular across the EU regions?
