Consultations in Sri Lanka: Strategic Social Assessment of the Northern and Eastern Provinces

As a follow up to the Country Partnership Framework, the World Bank is undertaking a strategic social assessment of the Northern and Eastern provinces, which are among areas with high levels of poverty in Sri Lanka.

As a follow up to the Country Partnership Framework, The World Bank is undertaking a strategic social assessment of the North and East to better understand key socio-economic dynamics. The assessment aims to collect relevant and timely information to better understand the development challenges and opportunities of the area.

To help on this assessment, we would like to hear from you!

The Strategic Social Assessment is expected to look at topics of economic growth and poverty rates, employment patterns, livelihoods, social and community needs, as well as key dynamics and challenges that are shaping the Northern and Eastern Provinces, which are among areas with high levels of poverty in Sri Lanka. We welcome your participation to gather feedback on these important topics. 

Where? 

The World Bank team together with the Government of Sri Lanka will host public consultations in Batticaloa (January 13, 2017) and Jaffna (January 16, 2017)

How can I participate?
