On October 4 and 5, the Parliamentary Network on the World Bank and IMF, the World Bank Group and the IMF are jointly organizing a parliamentary workshop on the sidelines of the Annual Meetings. The Workshop is taking place just ahead of the Bank and Fund Annual Meetings and is focusing on the following key themes: translating the SDGs into laws that respond to country specific poverty reduction priorities; eliminating unemployment with a particular focus on youth; financial stability; and climate change among other topics.The Workshop gives parliamentarians a platform on which to engage with senior management and experts of the IMF and the World Bank Group.

The participating MPs will also have the chance to attend other Annual Meeting events taking place on October 7-9, among them the Program of Seminars and the Civil Society Forum.
