PSLO Uruguay Mission
Save the Date - PSLO Mission to Uruguay
November 2-6, 2015Montevideo, Uruguay
The Chamber of Commerce of Santa Cruz de Tenerife invites you to join a mission to Montevideo on November 2-6, 2015. The mission will include meetings with International Financial Institutions, Government Project Implementing Agencies, and local partners.

The Chamber of Commerce of Santa Cruz de Tenerife (in collaboration with the Canarian Chambers, the Chambers of Navarra, Zaragoza, Mallorca and Santiago de Compostela, and the Cabildo de Tenerife), invites you to join a mission to Montevideo, Uruguay, on November 2 - 6, 2015.

The mission will be an opportunity for companies to learn how they can take advantage of the business opportunities on projects financed by international financial institutions (IFIs) in Uruguay. The mission will include meetings with representatives of the main donor agencies and the institutions in charge of managing the funds. Moreover, the companies will have a chance to meet with potential local partners to talk about collaborating in future projects.

Why Uruguay?

In incoming years, Uruguay will receive around $900 million to carry out projects financed by such multilateral institutions as the World Bank, the United Nations, the European Union and the Inter-American Development Bank. This cooperation will focus on the following strategic areas: water sector and water resources, energy, research and development, environment, transport, social development, public sector management and economic development.

Simultaneously, the Government of Uruguay has budgeted for $12 million intended for its national investment plan between 2015 and 2019. The plan will focus mainly on energy ($4.200 million), transport ($360 million allocated for the reactivation of the railway line), social matters, housing and water supply ($550 million).

Transfers and accommodation

The attendee will bear the transfer, accommodation, meals and travel insurance costs. Nevertheless, for your convenience, in collaboration with a travel agency we have put together an all inclusive package.
