The panel, from 4:00-5:30 pm EDT, will explore the 2014 World Development Report's findings and recommendations regarding how countries and communities can build resilience and boost prosperity through systematic and proactive risk management. Recognizing that risk is inherent in the development process, the report builds on extensive data and country experience to address how individuals, institutions, and countries can stop being only “crisis fighters” and become “proactive and systematic risk managers”. The panel will be moderated by Gillian Tett, assistant editor, the Financial Times.
