The objective of the Provincial and
Peri-Urban Water and Sanitation Project is to assist the
Kingdom of Cambodia to move forward in fulfilling the
Millennium Development... Show More + Goals (MDGs) in water supply and
sanitation by 2015. The restructuring will: (a) close the
provincial water supply component, and transfer the
remaining available funds to support: (i) the scaling-up of
the sanitation component (part A, being implemented by the
non-governmental organization (NGO) 'Center for
Development' (CfD); and (ii) additional investments to
expand water supply in the Peri-urban water supply component
(part B, implemented by the Phnom Penh Water Supply
Authority (PPWSA), the PPWSA component); and (b) adjust the
key performance indicators. This project paper also proposes
to extend, for the second time, the credit closing date,
from the current closing date of June 30, 2010 to June 30,
