Tamara Sulukhia, Program Leader for Sustainable Development (in charge of Energy, Transport, Urban, Water, Environment, Land and Agriculture) for Ukraine, Belarus and Moldova since January 2010, joined the Bank in Tbilisi county office in 2004 and served as Senior Infrastructure Specialist till 2010.
Before joining the Bank, served as the Minister of Infrastructure and Development of Georgia (2004); as the Head of Local Governance Center in Tbilisi (2002-2004); was a Fulbright Scholar at the George Washington University in Wels (2001-2002) and Development Assistance Specialist in USAID/Caucasus (1997-2001). Has non-governmental experience includes being a Board Member of several leading Georgian and International NGO’s, and President of Association of Women for Urban Development of Georgia. In 2002-2009 she was teaching Urban Policy and Governance at the School of Public Administration of Georgian Institute of Public Affairs and obtained a title of Professor in 2007. She’s the author of two monographs and 15 publications. She defended her PhD in 1997. Education - architect and urban planner.
