Siobhan Murray


Siobhan Murray is a Technical Specialist in the Geospatial Operational Support Team (GOST) of the World Bank’s Development Data Group. She works with the Living Standards Measurement Study (LSMS-ISA) team to promote the use of GPS and other geo-referenced data in survey data analysis and dissemination and contribute to the research agenda on sampling, yield measurement, and other areas of methodological research. She also supports other Bank teams in the integration of remote sensing and spatial data for a wide variety of applications, including regional trade and transport cost modeling, land cover change, and measuring effects of weather shocks.

Before joining the Bank, Siobhan worked in technical support at International Land Systems, as a research analyst at the World Resources Institute and served as a Peace Corps volunteer in Mauritania. She completed an M.A. in Geography and International Development at Clark University and a B.A. in International Relations at Johns Hopkins University.
