Roman Zhukovskyi

Alternate Executive Director, Executive Directors

Roman Zhukovskyi serves as an Alternate Executive Director at the World Bank Board for the Constituency of 13 countries: Armenia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Georgia, Israel, Macedonia, Moldova, Montenegro, The Netherlands, Romania and Ukraine. 

Prior to his career at the World Bank Group, Mr. Zhukovskyi was a Head of the Department for Economic and Social Policy, and Implementation of Economic Reforms in the Administration of the President of Ukraine from 2006 - 2012. At the same time, he also held positions at the Boards of NAK Naftogaz Ukrainy, Oschadny Bank Ukrainy and Ukreximbank, respectively.

Mr. Zhukovskyi was a Head of Department for Financial Policy at the Ministry of Economy of Ukraine from 2005 to 2006. In this capacity, he implemented the system of financial planning for state enterprises.

Mr. Zhukovskyi started his career at Ukrsotsbank (now part of Unicredit group) where he held various positions until 2005.

Mr. Zhukovskyi graduated from the University of Chicago, Booth School of Business.
