Chief Economist for Central America
Óscar Calvo-González is Sector Leader of the Poverty Reduction (PREM) department for Latin America and the Caribbean and is Chief Economist for Central America.
A Spanish national, Mr. Calvo-González holds a degree and PHD from the London School of Economics. He joined the Bank in 2006 and his experience includes projects and academic work focused on economic in Latin America and the Caribbean, Europe and Central Asia.
Prior joining the bank, he worked as an economist at The European Central Bank.
