Matilde Bordón, an Argentinean national, has 15 years of development experience in project management in public sector, advocacy and private sector. Her career within the World Bank Group started in 2001, with projects to support the public sector in Andean and Central American countries and in private sector development and investment climate for African countries.

Her career has also been working with the South Asia region, in matters related to the generation of investment policies. She has worked in Brazil for the IFC, the private arm of the World Bank Group.

In 2012, she was part of a program of external service of the World Bank, in charge of the design and management of the investment promotion agency of the province of Mendoza in Argentina, a task that has just concluded to join the World Bank team in Uruguay.

Before joining the World Bank Group, Bordón was an analyst and business consultant in companies in Argentina and the United States, specifically in redesigning organizational structure and strategy of long-term growth.

Ms. Bordón has a Master of Business Administration (MBA) with an emphasis in international business from the University John Hopkins (USA) and completed her undergraduate studies at the School of Business and Economics at the National University of Cuyo (Argentina), where she graduated with honors. She is fluent in Spanish, English and Portuguese.
