Madhu Raghunath the Program Leader for Sustainable Development for the World Bank in Vietnam.
An Indian national, she joined the Bank in 2004. She has worked in various sectors in the Bank including urban development, disaster risk management, urban water supply and sanitation, land and urban transport. Her operations experience includes the portfolios of Vietnam, Jordan, China and Yemen. Her analytical work includes such reports as the HCMC Engagement, the Urbanization Chapter of Vietnam 2035, the Kuwait State Land Management Reimbursable Advisory Services (RAS) and the MNA Urbanization Knowledge Platform.
Before joining the Bank, Madhu worked with AFL-CIO and Massachusetts Institute of Technology. She has a Master’s in City Planning from MIT and Masters in Social Work from Tata Institute of Social Sciences.
