Kibrom Tafere

Kibrom Tafere is an economist in the Agriculture and Rural Development Team in the Development Research Group at the World Bank. His research focuses on the welfare effects of weather shocks in developing countries. He works on human capital development, intergenerational transmission of shocks, temperature and schooling outcomes, rural livelihood adaptations, and index insurance. He holds a PhD in Applied Economics from Cornell University.
