Jorge Dajani is the Director of Global Corporate Solutions (GCS) of the World Bank Group (WBG) since 2022. As Director of GCS, Jorge Dajani manages global security, real estate, corporate services, and sustainability. He also leads the WBG Emergency Management Team (EMT) as EMT Incident Commander.
Mr. Dajani has a long-standing career in public service, international institutions, and the corporate sector, with a solid track record in leadership and management, governance, and stakeholder engagement. Prior to this current role, he was Director of the Ethics and Business Conduct department and the WBG Chief Ethics Officer.
Before joining the Bank Group, Mr. Dajani was Alternate Executive Director at the International Monetary Fund. Previously, he served as Director General for Macroeconomic Analysis and International Finance at the Ministry of Economy of Spain. He has served on the Boards of Governors and Boards of Directors of several multilateral banks. He has also been a member of the economic policy committees of the European Union and the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD).
A Spanish national, Mr. Dajani holds a bachelor´s and a master´s degree in economics from Universidad Autónoma de Madrid. He speaks Spanish, English, French, and Mandarin.
