A Malian national, Mr. Kante has 15 years of experience working for the World Bank Group. From June 2012 to January 2016, he served as Country Manager to the World Bank office in Conakry, Guinea. Under his leadership, a new Country Partnership Strategy was implemented and the World Bank portfolio resumed its activities following a long suspension. Previously, Mr. Kante lead a regional program for the International Finance Corporation (IFC), a member of the World Bank Group focused exclusively on private sector development. Mr. Kante possesses an MBA in business administration from the University of Arizona, and is a graduate of Bamako’s École Normale Supérieure, in Mali.
