Jim Reichert is a Sr. Infrastructure Specialist in the East Asia and Pacific Region of the World Bank. He is based in the Mongolia Country Office and coordinates the sustainable development program for the country.  In this capacity, Jim is responsible for ensuring the overall quality of the sustainable development portfolio and provides guidance to country staff. 

He engages in policy discussions with government counterparts, leads teams in the preparation of new projects, helps supervise on-going operations, and is a core member of teams preparing economic and sector assessments. 

Prior to joining the EAP Region, Jim served as a transport specialist with the Middle East and North Africa Region.  In this capacity, he helped structure and supervise airport, road, rail and port operations, including a US$335 million project to build two new passenger airport terminals in Egypt, a road project for Iraq, which was prepared under challenging circumstances in 2003, and a trade corridor development project in Jordan, which combined elements of transport and trade.

Jim holds a Master’s Degree in Business Administration from the George Washington University in Washington, DC, and a Bachelor’s Degree in International Development and Spanish from the University of Denver in Colorado.
