Economic Research Unit, Department of Economics at the University of Natal, Durban, South Africa. The ERU is an autonomous unit within the Department of Economics which conducts applied research into any field of economics with a special emphasis on policy issues relating to South and southern Africa.
The Health Policy Unit (HPU), Dept of Public Health & Policy, London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine. The aim of the HPU is to inform the development of health policy in low and middle income countries. Specific objectives include: to encourage, guide and conduct policy-relevant research; provide a stimulating, supportive, multi-disciplinary research environment; and communicate research findings widely. - UNAIDS: The Joint United Nations Programme on HIV/AIDS, co-sponsored by the World Bank and five other U.N. system agencies: the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF); the United Nations Development Program (UNDP), the United Nations Fund for Population Activities (UNFPA); the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO); and the World Health Organization (WHO).
- United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) HIV and Development Programme "draws together UNDP's headquarters, regional and country programming and other initiatives designed to strengthen the capacity of nations and organizations to respond effectively to the HIV epidemic."
- SIDALAC, The Regional AIDS Initiative for Latin America and the Caribbean. SIDALAC is part of the United Nations Programme on AIDS (UNAIDS).
- UNAIDS in Namibia, The UNAIDS Theme Group in Namibia is the local response of UN agencies involved in HIV/AIDS activities.
