Today is the last day and the formal end of the online conference "ARV Treatment in Developing Countries: Questions of Economics, Equity and Ethics". We would like to thank all of you for your attention, participation, comments, and support. We hope you have found the conference to be interesting and valuable. We will leave the conference area up for about two more weeks. If you would like to make additional postings, please feel free. Postings will continue to be distributed. Steven Forsythe will be writing a conference summary that will be distributed to you next week. During the second week of June we will move the conference materials to the AIDS Economics web site <http://www.worldbank.org/aids-econ/> as the beginning of a new section on economics and ARV. Related to this move, we would like to ask 2 things: First, the discussion in the conference was consistently thoughtful and interesting. We would like to move all of the postings made during the conference to the new public space for reference and archive. Of course the invitation said that no one should be quoted without their permission, therefore we'd like your response before we do anything. Does anyone object to us moving the conference postings into a public space? Second, we understand that you may have made individual postings that you prefer not to be made available. If you have a posting that you would prefer remain private, please let me know <witzel@ForumOne.com> and I will remove it. We intend there to be more conferences of a similar style and hope that you will all continue to participate. We will be contacting you with more information. If you have topics or materials that might be used or would like to be involved as an organizer or moderator, please let me know. Thanks again for an enjoyable and educational experience. |
