From May 4, 1998 through May 29, 1998 the AIDS Economics web site hosted an on-line conference entitled "ARV Treatment in Developing Countries: Questions of Economics, Equity and Ethics". The conference was by invitation-only. 160 people from over 30 countries visited the conference site. The conference was moderated by Steven Forsythe. The online conference was accompanied by a face-to-face meeting of the AIDS Economics Network (AEN) in Washington, DC on May 12, 1998.
The overview and key questions, the readings, and the supporting materials that are presented on this ARV special focus area were originally gathered for discussion in on-line conference.
