High Food Prices in Africa

The World Bank is helping to fight poverty and improve the living standards for the people in São Tomé and Príncipe. As of March 2007, the World Bank had approved 14 IDA credits for São Tomé and Príncipe for a total amount of approximately US$83.3 million. The commitment value of two ongoing operations is about US$11.5 million, with an undisbursed balance of roughly US$6.7 million.
